Young fundraiser sets an ambitious target

You may remember earlier this year we wrote about Duncan Tait’s family, who, when Duncan sadly lost his battle with cancer, decided to donate money to two of Duncan’s chosen charities instead of floral tributes.

Eva, one of Duncan’s beloved Granddaughters decided that she wanted to continue to fundraise in her Grandad’s memory.  She got her thinking cap on and came up with a whole raft of ideas to reach a very ambitious target of £1000.

Eva got her fundraising off to a great start by holding a bake sale at her school, raising a huge £62.00 in just an hour after school.  Eva added to this by taking some of her pre-loved toys along to the Ware Family Fun Day, where she encouraged visitors to offer them a new home and collected donations, all the toys found a new loving home, and Teens Unite made £10!    She has planned a garden party in July, where she will be raffling of some amazing prizes that she has encouraged local businesses to donate.   Eva is a very talented singer, so she may even entertain her guests.

We’ll keep you updated on Eva’s progress, and send her huge thanks from all at Teens Unite for her incredible efforts. She’s a determined young lady and we have every faith that she will achieve what she has set out to do.
