A triathlon in memory

Teens Unite supporter Maria sadly lost her Father, Duncan, earlier this year, to a short but hard and bravely fought battle with cancer.  The Family honoured his memory by supporting one of his chosen charities, Teens Unite, with donations instead of floral tributes at his funeral.

The family have continued to honour Duncan’s memory with various fundraising activities throughout the year.  One of Duncan’s grand-daughters, Eva, held a cake sale at her school, and in her Summer holidays sold tea and cake to local workmen, raising even more money for Teens Unite.  Eva also volunteered at a local event on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon.

The latest event to honour Duncan’s memory is being undertaken by his nephew, William, who on 16th September will take part in the Brighton and Hove Triathlon. William will swim 1500 meters in the sea, cycle 40km and then run 10km.  if you’d like to support William in this feat of strength and endurance, then please visit his Justgiving page.

We are very grateful to the Tait family for their ongoing support of Teens Unite and the work that we do.  Duncan was clearly a man loved by many who want to honour him and his memory.
