Hospital visits help to brighten young people's day

Over the last couple of weeks Sara and Chantelle, our Teens Liaison Officer and Events Executive, have visited the Princess Alexander Hospital, the Royal Marsden Hospital, the UCLH and the Macmillan Centre.  This week, they're going to visit Guys Hospital.

As well as meeting young people undergoing treatment, introducing them to us and our work, and sharing our calendar of up and coming events, the team meet with nursing and support staff so that they can sign post us when young people are on their wards.

While visiting, the team hand out gifts which have been kindly donated by many supporters, to the young people.  Ahead of these visits, our amazing Volunteers came in to the office and made up gift bags which included adult art books, toiletries, aromatherapy candles, a free download of HeadSpace (a meditation and mindfulness app) and of course a chocolate treat or  two.

The  team really enjoy these visits, and the young people certainly like to see them arriving with their goodie bags.
