Activity Stay 2018 - Day Three

It’s day three of the Activity Stay and we can’t believe we’re already half way through the week!

Our day started with breakfast in the main building to fuel our bodies for the day ahead. We split into two groups, with one group taking part in an art workshop with Esther and the other group taking part in a martial arts workshop with Kim-Leng Hills and Hu Long Temple. We learnt lots of things, including relaxation and meditation techniques, which are important in boosting mindfulness as a young person.

We returned to the main building for lunch – a pasta dish and aubergine stuffed with quinoa and cheese were on the menu, followed by more delicious chocolate brownies! After lunch, the groups swapped over and took part in the activity they hadn’t done in the morning. It was great to see the young people expressing themselves and their feelings through art, creating beautiful canvasses by which they can remember this incredible week!

In the afternoon we finally saw a bit of sunshine so headed outside to play card game ‘spoons,’ play football, and simply just chill out and chat to one another.

Our third and final activity of the day was a classic quiz night with additional rounds to test all our senses, including a music round, taste test and picture round. We’ve already made an abundance of special memories and lifelong friendships over the past three days – and we’re only half way through! We can’t wait for what the next couple of days have in store and as always we’ll be sharing what we’re up to on social media – follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date with the latest of the 2018 Activity Stay!
