Lyceum Theatre, London
Our Teens event to The Lion King was as spectacular as ever!
Our seats were perfectly placed in the Royal Circle. The stage production's creativity and music transported us instantly to the plains of Africa.
You would think that this would be the highlight of the day but a great event to attend is only part of what makes a Teens Day so special. We arranged to have lunch beforehand at Frankie & Benny’s and everyone had a chance to meet up and introduce themselves or catch up with people they had met at a Teens event before.
By the end of the day, everyone had swapped numbers. You would have thought they’d all known each other for ages! Watching the performance together and swapping notes in the interval was just lovely.
Walking back through Covent Garden with the beautiful festive lights was the perfect end to our day.
Here are some quotes from the young people who enjoyed the day
"It let me connect with a whole group of amazing people who understand what it's like to go through cancer. Knowing other people have gone through similar things is a very powerful support."
"Thank you so much for yesterday. Had one of the best days I’ve had in a long while. Even though the show was great, the company was even better."
